Zinc Futures Rise on Demand

Zinc futures climb due to increased spot demand. October contracts up on MCX. Marketmen cite demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Sep 8 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 1.70 to Rs 279.55 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher by Rs 1.70 or 0.61 per cent to Rs 279.55 per kilogram with a business turnover of 552 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
