Zinc Futures Rise on Demand

Zinc futures climb to Rs 288.55/kg on MCX due to increased spot demand and position widening by participants.
New Delhi, Oct 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose 20 paise to Rs 288.55 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for November delivery traded higher by 20 paise or 0.07 per cent to Rs 288.55 per kilogram with a business turnover of 543 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
