Zinc prices rise in futures trade due to increased spot demand. January contracts up on Multi Commodity Exchange.
New Delhi, Dec 10 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 1.80 to Rs 308.05 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 1.80 or 0.59 per cent to Rs 308.05 per kilogram with a business turnover of 764 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
