Zinc Futures Rise on Demand

Zinc futures climb on spot demand. January contracts up on MCX. Marketmen cite increased demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Dec 11 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.90 to Rs 307.80 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 1.90 or 0.62 per cent to Rs 307.80 per kilogram with a business turnover of 790 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
