Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand in India

Zinc prices in India rose on Friday due to increased demand from consuming industries, according to the Multi Commodity Exchange.
New Delhi, Dec 13 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday marginally rose 5 paise to Rs 287.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by 5 paise or 0.02 per cent at Rs 287.40 per kg with a business turnover of 2,804 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by 5 paise or 0.02 per cent at Rs 287.40 per kg with a business turnover of 2,804 lots.
