Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand in India
Zinc prices in India rose on Wednesday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The Multi Commodity Exchange saw zinc contracts for April delivery trading higher by 0.26%.
New Delhi, Mar 5 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday inched up 70 paise to Rs 270.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded higher by 70 paise or 0.26 per cent at Rs 270.50 per kg with a business turnover of 107 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
