Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - MCX
Zinc prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) rose on Tuesday, driven by a surge in spot demand and increased positions by traders. December contracts gained 0.5% to Rs 281.90 per kg.
New Delhi, Nov 26 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs 1.40 to Rs 281.90 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs 1.40 or 0.5 per cent at Rs 281.90 per kg with a business turnover of 2,730 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
