Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. Learn more about the rise in zinc futures.
New Delhi, Aug 23 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 2.30 to Rs 267.65 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded higher Rs 2.30 or 0.87 per cent at Rs 267.65 per kg with a business turnover of 1,980 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
