Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices climbed in futures trading on Monday, fueled by increased demand from consuming industries. The price increase was driven by a widening of positions by participants.
New Delhi, Apr 7 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday grew 65 paise to Rs 254.70 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher by 65 paise or 0.26 per cent at Rs 254.70 per kg with a business turnover of 423 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
