Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) driven by increased demand from consuming industries. The April contract rose by 15 paise to Rs 276.80 per kg.
New Delhi, Apr 2 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose by 15 paise to Rs 276.80 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded higher by 15 paise or 0.06 per cent at Rs 276.80 per kg with a business turnover of 2,937 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded higher by 15 paise or 0.06 per cent at Rs 276.80 per kg with a business turnover of 2,937 lots.
