Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand | PTI

Zinc prices rose in India's futures market on December 12 due to increased demand from consuming industries. The Multi Commodity Exchange saw higher trading volumes.
New Delhi, Dec 12 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose 60 paise to Rs 291.55 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by 60 paise or 0.21 per cent at Rs 291.55 per kg with a business turnover of 3,442 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
