Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand
Zinc prices rose in India's futures market on Thursday, driven by strong demand from consuming industries. The MCX April contract gained 0.7% to Rs 274.70 per kg.
New Delhi, Mar 6 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday inched up Rs 1.90 to Rs 274.70 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 1.90 or 0.7 per cent at Rs 274.70 per kg with a business turnover of 123 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
