Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. Futures contracts for August delivery rose 0.32% to Rs 251.20 per kg.
New Delhi, Aug 2 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 80 paise to Rs 251.20 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded higher 80 paise or 0.32 per cent at Rs 251.20 per kg with a business turnover of 2,230 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
