Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries, with October contracts rising Rs 1.20 to Rs 281.75 per kg.
New Delhi, Oct 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs 1.20 to Rs 281.75 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher Rs 1.20 or 0.43 per cent at Rs 281.75 per kg with a business turnover of 3,395 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
