Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. January contracts traded higher by Rs 1.80 at Rs 280.45 per kg.
New Delhi, Dec 23 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 1.80 to Rs 280.45 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 1.80 or 0.65 per cent at Rs 280.45 per kg with a business turnover of 1,818 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
