Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI
Zinc prices climbed on Wednesday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The Multi Commodity Exchange saw February contracts rise to Rs 281.20 per kg.
New Delhi, Jan 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 1.20 to Rs 281.20 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs 1.20 or 0.43 per cent at Rs 281.20 per kg with a business turnover of 172 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
