Copper futures prices dropped on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to muted demand in the domestic market. Speculators trimmed positions, leading to the price decline.
New Delhi, Nov 22 (PTI) Copper futures on Wednesday fell Rs 2.30 to Rs 714.90 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for November delivery eased by Rs 2.30 or 0.32 per cent to Rs 714.90 per kg in a business turnover of 2,815 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
