Copper futures fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced demand in the domestic market. Speculators trimmed positions, leading to lower prices.
New Delhi, Sep 10 (PTI) Copper futures on Tuesday fell 0.06 per cent to Rs 798.80 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for October delivery eased by 45 paise or 0.06 per cent to Rs 798.80 per kg in a business turnover of 1,491 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
