Cottonseed Oil Futures Drop on Weak Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures declined on Monday due to soft demand and weak trends in spot markets, leading to a price drop of Rs 23 per quintal.
New Delhi, Mar 4 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Monday decreased Rs 23 to Rs 2,693 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets following weak trends in spot markets.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for March delivery fell Rs 23 or 0.85 per cent to Rs 2,693 per quintal with an open interest of 45,240 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued trend in the market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
