Guar gum prices dropped Rs 131 to Rs 10,301 per quintal on Wednesday due to weak demand and ample supply, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Wednesday dropped Rs 131 to Rs 10,301 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for September delivery fell Rs 131 or 1.27 per cent to Rs 10,301 per quintal in 46,130 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
