Zinc prices declined by 0.07% on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday, driven by reduced speculative interest and subdued demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Feb 23 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.07 per cent to Rs 213 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded lower by 15 paise or 0.07 per cent at Rs 213 per kg in 4,972 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
