Copper futures fell 1.26% on Thursday due to muted demand in the domestic market. Speculators trimmed positions, leading to lower prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
New Delhi, Aug 1 (PTI) Copper futures on Thursday fell 1.26 per cent to Rs 797.25 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery eased by Rs 10.15 or 1.26 per cent to Rs 797.25 per kg in a business turnover of 13,398 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
