| Allahabad Bank has informed BSE that Smt. Shubhalakshmi Panse, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank is demitting office on January 31, 2014 upon Superannuation. As such, Smt. Shubhalakshmi Panse will cease to be the Director of the Bank with effect from February 01, 2014.<br/><br/>Further, the Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services vide its Notification dated January 30, 2014 has advised that Shri T. R. Chawla and Shri J. K. Singh Kharb, Executive Directors of the Bank will continue exercising their respective powers as Executive Directors of the Bank while the financial and administrative powers of the Chairman and Managing Director shall be exercised with the approval of the Board of Directors/Management Committee of the Board (MCBOD) of the Bank as the case may be till such time that a regular incumbent is appointed by the Government of India as Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank. | |
