With reference to the earlier letter dated November 11, 2014, Amara Raja Batteries Ltd has now informed BSE that the board of directors at their meeting held on November 11, 2014, approved an investment of about Rs. 500 Crores for setting up tubular batteries manufacturing plant (for Home UPS application) with a capacity of 1.44 million units per annum.
