| Central Bank of India has informed BSE that Board of Directors of the Bank at their meeting scheduled to be held on May 25, 2015 will inter alia consider the proposal to conduct Election of two Shareholder Directors of the Bank from amongst the shareholders other than Central Government in terms of Section 9(3)(i) of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 read with Banking Regulation Act, 1949, Nationalised Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970, Central Bank of India (Shares and Meetings) Regulations, 1998 and Notification dated November 01, 2007 read with dated May 23, 2011 of Reserve Bank of India at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the shareholders of the Bank and to fix May 29, 2015 as the Specified Date for the purpose of ascertaining the shareholders who are entitled to participate i.e. nominate, contest and vote in the said election. | |
