| Corporation Bank has informed BSE that the Bank have been informed by the Indian Banks' Association, vide their Circular letter dated December 24, 2014 and by Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services vide their communication dated December 31, 2014 that they have received a notice from the convener of the United Forum of Bank Unions, a joint forum of 5 workmen unions (viz. AIBEA, NCBE, BEFI, INBEF and NOBW) and 4 officers' associations (viz, AIBOC, AIBOA, INBOC and IMOBO), informing their decision to go on one day nation-wide strike on Wednesday January 07, 2015, four days nation-wide strike from 21st to 24th January 2015 and indefinite strike from 16th March 2015, in support of their demands.<BR><BR>A major section of the Bank's employees/officers belonging to the workmen unions/officers' association having allegiance to the above national level unions/organisations, may participate in the proposed strike on January 07, 2015, four days strike from January 21, 2015 to January 24, 2015 and indefinite strike from March 16, 2015, if the strike materialises, In view of the above, it is likely that the normal functioning of the Branches and offices may get affected during the days the union has given the strike call. | |
