HDFC Bank Ltd has informed BSE that as per the RBI guidelines in respect of implementation of recommendations of Dr. Ganguly Group, age of independent / non-executive directors of private sector banks should be between 35 to 70 years.<br/><br/>In view of the above, Mr. Vijay Merchant an independent director of the Bank has relinquished his office as Director of the Bank at the close of business hours on October 04, 2014 having attained 70 years of his age.
