Katare Spinning Mills Ltd has informed BSE that shortly the company will be commissioning a 1mw solar power project with tracking system for captive consumption. Annually it will generate about 19 lakh units of electricity which will result in saving of Rs. 8 per unit for the company. It will be one unique combination to reduce the cost of production substantially and such type of experiment is for the bright future of textile industry and it is expected to set new benchmark in the industry.
