| NHPC Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on October 30, 2014, decided to extend financial assistance to the Civil Works Contractor M/s. HCC Limited to enable completion of balance works of Teesta Low Dam Hydroelectric Project Stage-IV.<br/><br/>Further, Government of India has accorded its approval for infusion of equity upto Rs. 1605 Crore in the Company's Joint Venture Company M/s. Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited (CVPPPL) for construction of Pakal Dul (1000 MW) and for initial investment in Kiru (660 MW) and Kwar (560 MW) HE Projects. | |
