Titan Company Ltd has informed BSE that:<BR><BR>"We refer to the news report in the Times of India Bangalore edition of 18th January 2016 with the caption: Titan will sell saris under Tanishq brand.<BR><BR>At the outset, the contents of the news report are speculative in nature and we wish to state that the Company does not, as a matter of practice, comment on market speculation.<BR><BR>It may however be noted that the Company is engaged in the business of lifestyle products and hence would be on the lookout for opportunities for enhancing business growth in permitted objects in the Memorandum of Association of the Company to constantly improve stakeholders' value and if and when the Board of Directors of the Company resolve or approve any definitive proposal on any business opportunity, the matter will be immediately disclosed to all concerned including the Stock Exchanges".
