| UltraTech Cement Ltd has informed BSE that:<BR><BR>"The Company procures coal from various sources for meeting its day-to-day requirement. As part of the process, the Company has participated in the e-auction of coal blocks conducted by the nominated authority of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India.<BR><BR>Although securing coal in any form is part of the normal day-to-day operations of the Company, as a matter of good governance, we write to inform you that UltraTech has won the auction conducted for the Coal Block at Bicharpur, situated in Madhya Pradesh. Its bid of Rs.3,003/- per MT was the highest.<BR><BR>A formal communication vesting the said coal block in the Companys favour is expected in due course.<BR><BR>Commercial production is expected to commence from FY 2018." | |
