ReNew Power planning to go public in 2015: Media report

Country’s leading renewable energy producer ReNew Power will begin planning its initial public offering next year, according to The Wall Street Journal.

“The size of the IPO would be a few hundred million dollars and the timing would depend on market conditions,” Sinha told The Wall Street Journal on Thursday.

I am hopeful that the government will take the right decision for growth of the sector, he said.

ReNew Power Ventures Pvt. Ltd is an Independent Power Producer company which generates 460 MW of installed and operational clean energy capacity through wind across the states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Gujarat.

Primarily a wholesale power generator, ReNew Power sells the output to state electricity boards and large industrial companies.
